How IB Group handles the personal information you send us through this website.

What this policy covers
This policy explains how the IB Group collection of businesses (“IB Group”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through this website. It applies to anyone who visits ibgroup.au, sends us an enquiry, applies for a role or uses the Find Your Fit tool. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Each brand in the collection may also hold information under its own service agreement with you; where that is so, that brand’s own policy governs the service it provides.
What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you choose to give us. From the contact form and the Find Your Fit tool: your name, email address, phone number if you supply one, the service you are interested in, your suburb or location, and the message you write. From the careers form: the same contact details, the role you are interested in and, if you attach one, your CV. Our web server also records ordinary technical information with each request, including your IP address and browser user agent, which we use to keep the site secure and to limit automated abuse.
How we use it
We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, to direct it to the right brand in the collection, and to assess an application if you have applied for a role. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use anything you submit through this site for marketing unless you have separately asked us to contact you that way.
Who we share it with
An enquiry is shared inside IB Group with whichever brand is best placed to answer it — sales and leasing, co-living, strata, building management, maintenance or insurance. We share personal information outside the group only where the law requires it, or with the service providers who host this website and deliver our email, who may handle it only on our instructions.
How we store it
Enquiries and CVs are stored on servers located in Australia, outside the public area of the website, and access is restricted to the staff who need it. This site is served only over an encrypted connection. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and we destroy or de-identify them when that period ends.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@ibgroup.au or call 02 9221 3333 and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies and third parties
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no third-party trackers. The only content served from another company is the Google Maps panel that appears when you look at an office on the Contact page; opening it means Google receives your request for that map, subject to Google’s own privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy from time to time. The current version always appears on this page, and the date below it tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
